Welcome to Tri-State Bass Fishing!
Thanks for visiting, I hope to bring the bass fishermen of the tri-state
area a place to share info on their lakes, tackle and tactics they use.
I also hope to help those visiting this beautiful area in search of the
elusive largemouth or the fight of a red-eyed wolf-jawed bronze backed
smallmouth that Zane Grey spoke of in his early writings. I hope to get
tackle shops, fishing guides and local bass clubs involved, so stop back.
Let's try the Yellbox on the bottom left side of the page, let me know
how you like it and keep an eye on the fishing news on the bottom right
of the homepage, it has PA, NY and NJ fishing news as well as national
fishing news. Enjoy!!!
Daily Tip or Quote: Tri-State Bass Fishing Website News
As the weather has warmed as spring has finally arrived, it is time again to get out and do some open water
fishing, the trout have been stocked, the largemouth and smallmouth bass are getting ready to spawn and the
shad will be moving up river to spawn…I so much enjoy this time of year, I enjoy watching the wildlife either
along the river bank or at the side of the lake, the birds, the deer and their fawns, the possibility of
seeing a bear with cubs and soon all the trees will have leaves and the blossom will be blooming…The re-birth
that is happening around us is amazing.
With the re-birth spring, I hope it will be a re-birth in my life since the fall brought the death of my dad,
someone who was very influential in my life as well as the reason why I fish. Over the last couple years I
have not been very enthusiastic when it came to fishing as I was in the past, even when dad and I were miles
apart we shared our stories of our day on the water, he with his stories of catching striped bass in the salty
surf of the Jersey shore and me with my stories of catching largemouth and smallmouth bass from the freshwater
lakes of New York’s Hudson Valley.
I now have a lot of work ahead of me to get back that enthusiasm, I have two boys to teach what my daddy taught me!!!

Congratulations to Ian Kiraly of Walton, New York on the confirmation of his NY inland striped bass record!!!
